Buy Admissions Essay In order to pay for school and continue being active in the community, I enlisted in the Texas Army National Guard as a Medic. Due to the increased deployment schedule and demands placed on all branches of the military after September 11, my attendance in school has necessarily come second to my commitment to the military. There are various semesters where, due to this demand, I attended school less than full time. Despite taking a long time and the difficulty in carving separate time for school with such occupational requirements, I remained persistent aiming towards attending school as my schedule would allow. My military commitment ends this July and will no longer complicate my academic pursuits. So yes, if you do a good job for me I will brag to my friends about it. Thanks again for all your help - whenever I have a chance to speak to friends who have children with college ahead I recommend your services. I would like to thank Andy and his staff, and provide affirmation that Andy’s program works and is proven to be successful. Entering into our journey regarding how we will possibly be able to fund an annual expense of $30K plus is an overwhelming mental experience. The effort paid off as I earned not only an ‘A’ in the course, but also won the T.O.P.S. award in statistics. This award is given to the top undergraduate student with a demonstrated history of success in statistics. Professor Mitchell obtained a grant to take a class of students to Belgium in order to study the EU. My interest in attending the University of Rochester in particular, relates to my first semester at OU and the opportunity to take an introductory course in statistics with the now retired Dr. Larry Miller. Through the combination of a genuine appreciation and knack for statistics and with his encouragement, I proceeded to take his advanced statistics class as well as the first graduate level statistics course at OU. I continued my statistical training by completing the second graduate statistics course on model comparisons with Dr. Roger Johnson, a Professor in the Psychology Department. The model comparison course was not only the most challenging course I have taken as an undergraduate, but the most important. That knowledge, coupled with his excellent programs for test prep, essay workshops, etc. were invaluable and made the entire process bearable. Hopefully we will be as successful with our youngest. We are now working with Andy for the second time after he provided tremendous assistance with my eldest daughter. If I do a good job for one guy he tells someone else. My best new business sources are from referrals and people who have done business with me in the past. I come from a small, economically depressed town in Northern Wisconson. Many people in this former mining town do not graduate high school and for them college is an idealistic concept, not a reality. Feelings of being trapped in a stagnant environment permeated my mind, and yet I knew I had to graduate high school; I had to get out. Although most of my friends and family did not understand my ambitions, I knew I wanted to make a difference and used their doubt as motivation to press through. Four days after I graduated high school, I joined the U.S. Minoring in Spanish, I have read various pieces of literature from Mexico and have come to respect Mexico and Latin American culture and society. I look forward to conducting this research as it will have a more qualitative tilt than my thesis in psychology, therefore granting an additional understanding of research methodology. As an undergraduate, I was privileged to gain extensive research experience working in a research lab with Dr. Carol. Participating in such a large study from start to finish has validated my interest in academic research as a profession. As the sole undergraduate in the course and only college algebra under my belt, I felt quite intimidated. Yet, the rigors of the class compelled me to expand my thinking and learn to overcome any insecurities and deficits in my education. This course revealed a direct correlation between what I had studied in the classroom with the real world. After spending several weeks studying the EU, its history and present movement towards integration, the class flew to Brussels where we met with officials and proceeded to learn firsthand how the EU functioned. This fall I will embark on writing an additional honors thesis in political science. While the precise topic of my thesis is undecided, I am particularly interested in Mexico and its development towards a more democratic government.

Bored by Your Subject Write About it Anyway!

Bored by Your Subject Write About it Anyway! Bored by Your Subject? Write About it Anyway! Bored by Your Subject? Write About it Anyway! At some point in your academic career, you’ll have to write about something that doesn’t interest you, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy it! No one loves writing about everything, in fact, The Guardian recently published an article about how writing is a conscious act, more than anything. What this means is that not everyone can write without thinking. In fact, more often than not, writing involves serious consideration, research, and careful analysis. So what do you do when you have no interest in the subject, but your deadline is looming? Well, there’s no easy answer, but to get started, try to make the subject relatable in some way. If you can find a personal connection, then you’ll be able to write about it much more easily. We’ve all been there: the subject we’re faced with writing about is dry as dust, and we can’t seem to read through the research without falling asleep. So what do you do when you have no interest in the subject, but your deadline is looming? Well, there’s no easy answer, but to get started, try to make the subject relatable in some way. What if you could relate this “boring” subject to something that interests you? That would make it easier, wouldn’t it! If you can find a personal connection, then you’ll enjoy writing about it much more. Start by thinking about your own interests and hobbies. Next, try linking one of them to the subject. As hard as it may seem, there’s always a way to make a connection. Maybe you’re writing about the election, and you have no interest in politics, but you love skateboarding in the park down the street. Well, there’s your connection! If you vote for a certain candidate, will there be funding to repair your skate park if the cement crumbles? Can’t find a personal connection so easily? Try interviewing friends and family for their take on the subject. To date, you’ve probably only heard about the subject from your professor or through reading research papers. Hearing about it from people you know will help to make the subject more relatable and help you to connect the dots between your interests and the subject at hand. Ophelia And Hamlet - 1903 Words

During the reign of Queen Elizabeth, the stage was used as a way to break the barriers of gender norms. In his creation of Hamlet, Shakespeare uses the voice of Ophelia as a means to battle the gender norms that had been placed on Elizabethan society. A good women was seen as someone that was quiet and submissive. If a man could not control a woman’s tongue, there would be no chance that the man would be able to control her body. In Elizabethan England, it was considered indecent and illegal to carry out an act of incest and, by copulating the marriage, Gertrude is acting in a way that does not show any reasoning. Hamlet ends his soliloquy by stating that he â€Å"must hold [his] tongue† rather than demanding his mother acknowledge her lacking position on the Great Chain of Being. Merchant states that women are â€Å"imbued with a far greater sexual passion† rather than by logic which solidifies their position on the Great Chain of Being according to Elizabethan standards.
